The Power Of Touch

As soon as we touch others (or ourselves), our bodies naturally release Oxytocin- a powerful hormone, nicknamed the 'cuddle hormone', essential for building relationships and bonding. Oxytocin has an anti-anxiety effect and helps to increase attachment and empathy, influencing social behaviour and emotion. It's easy to feel the love and emotion just by looking at these images of touch between friends and family, but did you know that touch is incredibly powerful in professional situations too? A handshake can be worth 3 hours of rapport building time!
