If you’re receiving NDIS funding, you’ll be on one of three types of plans:

  1. Self Managed

  2. Plan Managed

  3. NDIS Managed

If you are on a Self Managed or Plan Managed plan, you may be able to use our services. If you are on an NDIS Managed plan, you won’t be able to use our services.

The explanations below may help you to understand which type of plan you are on.

Self Managed Plan

With a Self Managed plan, you have control and flexibility in selecting, arranging and paying for your services, as long as the services are aligned with the goals of your plan.

The service provider you use doesn’t need to be an NDIS registered provider, giving you a wider choice of who you can work with. In other words, you can use an NDIS Unregistered Provider.

Plan Managed Plan

With a Plan Managed plan, your NDIS registered plan manager helps you to take care of your plan, supporting you to look after the selection, purchasing, financial and administrative parts of the plan.

With this type of plan, even though your plan manager needs to be NDIS registered, the services providers you use don’t need to be. In other words, you can use an NDIS Unregistered Provider. Like with a Self Managed plan, this gives you more choice of who you can work with.

NDIS Managed Plan

With an NDIS Managed plan, sometimes referred to as an Agency Managed plan, The NDIS directly manages your plan for you. You have less choice in who you can work with because you’re only able to use NDIS registered providers. The services you can use need to be selected from an NDIS list.

With this type of plan, you cannot use our services, as we aren’t registered as a provider with the NDIS.

If you’ve realised you aren’t on the best plan for your needs, you have the flexibility to change it when your plan is renewed or reviewed.

NDIS Unregistered Providers

Many small businesses and service providers choose not to register with the NDIS because the process takes a lot of time and financial resources. These providers are known as unregistered providers. We are an unregistered provider.

Being registered or unregistered has no bearing on the quality of the service or on the level of professionalism—they just haven’t been through the formal registration process.
